Overview:

SUMMARY

SVI, LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Business/Proposal Manager for Norfolk/Virginia Beach Operations.

This position will support SVI's Federal business operations. This position will also support the business portfolio in the region including proposals for Federal Contracts.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with managing portfolio of contracts ensuring satisfactory performance of the contract requirements while maintaining adherence to Federal Requirements for each assigned contract.
Coordinates with PM's and project leads to manage contracts and specific projects including badging, change orders and project deliverables.
Helps in the preparation of proposal development that lead to direct contracts awards and projects.
Assists with hiring and onboarding for the portfolio of contracts and projects.
Maintains relationships with the Federal customers.
Maintains relationships with subcontractors.
Works with Corporate Management and Subsidiaries to

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

10 years working in the as a project lead or in a supervisory role.
2 Years of Contract task management (preferred)
Must be able to attain a Secret Clearance
Maintains a Strong Safety Culture
General Knowledge of Construction and Federal Contracts

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Able to work without guidance.
Strong oral and written skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills, PowerPoint, Word and excel skills.

Preferred

Bachelors degree
Knowledge of construction Trades

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTSWORK ENVIRONMENT**The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.

If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
