    Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: Plainfield, IN

    Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team in Plainfield, IN. As an SLP in our school district, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities, providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to address a wide range of speech and language disorders. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills and promote their overall academic success and social development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills to identify areas of strength and areas of need.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results and student needs.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, and social communication skills training.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum and classroom activities.
    • Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
    • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and collaborate on home-based strategies to support speech and language development.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

    Certifications:

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Valid Indiana state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
