    Job Description

    JOB OVERVIEW

    This role encompasses various responsibilities while working under the guidance of the Street & Drainage Superintendent. The main objective is to coordinate and manage activities in the sign department to deliver Traffic Management Services.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent is a must. At least 3 years of experience in traffic markings, sign installation, and maintenance.

    Special Requirements:

    Must hold a valid Texas Class 'B' Commercial driver's license.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Intermediate knowledge of computer software and programs.
    • Proficient in operating light construction equipment, pavement marking equipment, sign production equipment, computers, and GPS systems.
    • Capable of interpreting various types of written materials and performing mathematical calculations.
    • Skilled in writing reports, business letters, and summaries with proper language use.
    • Able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and 100 pounds with assistance.
    • Physically fit to handle moderate to heavy tasks and stand, stoop, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
    • Demonstrates independent judgment, multitasking abilities, and professional communication skills.
    • Readiness to work flexible hours, embrace new technology, and follow instructions accurately.
    • Willingness to obtain necessary licenses/certifications for job duties and be on-call for emergencies.
    • Familiarity with City of Conroe and Departmental policies and procedures.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The role involves heavy lifting and physical exertion, with demands ranging from balancing, climbing, crawling, to repetitive motions, speaking, and more. The job entails lifting substantial weights, demonstrating mental acuity, and performing various physical tasks efficiently.
