Software and Hardware Development for the Automation of Unmanned Aircraft (UAVs)
What to expect:
The Institute of Flight Systems at DLR Braunschweig develops and tests innovative concepts and technologies for automated unmanned aircraft (UAVs). In light of the increasing incidents involving improperly used drones, the Drone Defense project investigates the automated capture and transport of uncooperative and externally controlled small aircraft.
Your task is to investigate and implement possible solutions for one of the following problems:
- Detection & tracking of the target based on machine learning and computer vision algorithms
- Sensor fusion, state observation, and system identification of the target system
