Central Regional Hospital
We are currently recruiting for multiple Health Care Technician Leads at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) on the Nursing Performance Unit (NPU).
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning and implementing specific training programs, orientation of new and existing staff, and certification of employees in restrictive intervention techniques. The position is vital to providing staff on all shifts with information and skills needed to perform their assigned duties. The role is accomplished under the supervision of a Unit Nurse Director or designee. In addition to the training components, the Health Care Technician Lead serves a role model for the YPEA and Healthcare Technician roles.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Collaborates with Staff Development on the orientation and training of new employees and the re-training of current employees.
• Plans and implements (under RN supervision) inservices related to identified training needs.
• Orients new YPEA and TSS to facility and service area policies, rules, guidelines, and routines.
• Consults with Clinical Nurse managers to schedule personnel for classes and/or courses as required.
• Maintains training records and profiles on each assigned employee.
• Maintains ongoing and consistent communication with Unit Nurse Director, Clinical Nurse Managers, and service area staff.
• Maintain Instructor level certifications in NCI (Non-violent Crisis Intervention), APS (Advanced Physical Skills), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
The normal work hours for this position is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday however flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather.
