    Class Description:
Assist with employment services for CCBC's partnership working at the Department of Social Services' Center for Family Success.


Minimum Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, social work, human resources or related field and one year's experience providing employment and/or social services (examples: human services, social work, career counseling, job readiness, coaching, mentoring, case management, transition specialist work, or other related fields).


Workday Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 10:30 AM- 2:30 PM and Friday 10:00 AM- 1:30 PM


Class Specific Essential Duties:


  • Provide individual career assessments which provide the participant with career choices related to outcomes of the assessment processes.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions for the purpose of assessing interests, values, and skills.
  • Identifying appropriate career clusters related to assessment results.
  • Establishing participant driven goals, identifying barriers, developing actions steps with time lines.
  • Review and document progress toward goal attainment.
  • Modifying goals and action plans as required by participant.
  • Provide group sessions in areas promoting career exploration and the development of job readiness skills.
  • Maintain progress notes, including narrative description of ongoing participant interactions, and goal attainment.
  • Recommend relevant resource materials for purchase to the Family Support Center Director.
  • Interact with other family support center staff, particularly Counselors, Educators, Child Development Specialists and Parent Educators so as to integrate multidiscipline information into daily career and employment readiness activities and to facilitate joint team planning approaches to service delivery.
  • Participate in appropriate professional development activities for the center and the college.

The 403(b) supplemental retirement plan is available to all CCBC employees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees).


  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute aftertax dollars and then withdraw taxfree dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pretax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) posttax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms.
