Summary:

The Warehouse Manager has both individual and supervisory responsibilities.

The position's primary role is to direct operations with daily warehouse functions along with implementation and oversight of general warehouse controls.

This will require individual accountability as well as supervisory responsibility for warehouse functions performed by the team.

The Warehouse Manager will also participate in the fulfillment of a variety of monthly duties including, but not limited to, preparation of inventory reports, submission of regulatory and compliance reports, completion of warehouse reviews and walkthroughs and employee maintenance.

The position will participate in senior leadership as a department head. Such tasks as computation of warehouse performance metrics and tracking processes are under direct control of the Warehouse Manager.

The Warehouse Manager must also possess a strong aptitude for Information Technology in order to assist with the oversight of the hardware, software and communications equipment required for efficient business operations.


Critical Job Functions:


  • Adhere to the system of internal controls designed to mitigate risk
  • Perform standard administrative tasks that include; payroll timesheet approval and warehouse asset tracking.
  • Comply with local, state and federal requirements and laws
  • Communicate daily with the Warehouse Shift Supervisor and staff and complete the managers check list with warehouse shift managers.
  • Meet with operations management daily.
  • Give direction to Warehouse Shift Supervisors and staff to ensure that the warehouse processes are being followed.
  • Ensure that manpower is adequate and vacations are properly covered.
  • Interview and recommend hires to the General Manager as needed.
  • Designate replacement for warehouse shift supervisors when absent or on vacation.
  • Meet with vendors and suppliers. Ensure Bob Hall is giving the best service available
  • Conduct regular communication meetings with Warehouse Shift Supervisors and staff.
  • Conduct reviews with managers and staff using the review forms available from payroll
  • Ensure that all employees under line authority following company policies and guidelines according to the company handbook.
  • Manage the Warehouse Incentive Program, ensuring that all tracking forms are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform all other duties requested by Management.

Requirements:


Job Qualifications:


Experience:


  • 5+ years in comparable position
  • 5+ years of business experience with supervisory responsibility
  • Proven coaching and teaching skills while in a supervisory role

Aptitude for Technology:


  • Software
:

strong knowledge of standard accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Hardware
:

strong knowledge about computers, internal networks, VOIP systems, handheld devices


Physical demands and abilities:


  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 1050 lbs. occasionally lift and/or ability to move objects that weigh more than 165 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
