RCHSD Chadwick Center is a fully accredited hospital-based children's advocacy center (CAC), a child-friendly place that provides family-focused and trauma-informed services to help children and families heal from abuse and other trauma.

Within the Chadwick Center, KidSTART Clinic is an outpatient behavioral health program that serves young children age 0-5 with complex social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

The program is funded by the County of San Diego, Behavioral Health Services. KidSTART Clinic provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services for young children and their families. Evidence-based practices (EBPs) and evidence-informed treatments are used with a focus on trauma-informed infant and early childhood mental health.

KidSTART Clinic services also include a Caregiver Wellness Program to address caregiver needs via adult case management, therapy, and group services while their child is in treatment.

The KidSTART Clinic Social Worker I/II provides developmentally
- and culturally-appropriate therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, and case management to children and families served by the program within a multidisciplinary team. Documentation meeting MediCal requirements is completed in San Diego County's electronic health record.


Social Worker I

JOB SUMMARY:


The Social Worker I applies principles of Social Work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy, and case management.

In all departments, practices as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families.

The Social Worker I assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team.

Utilizes knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team.

Also, may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. The Social Worker may also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
Registration or pending registration with the State of California in a mental health discipline
1 year of professional experience working with children
Valid California's driver's license with proof of insurance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience
Training and experience in assessment and treatment of young children and adults
Training and experience in assessment and treatment of trauma
Knowledge of evidence-based practices for early childhood mental health
Experience working with a diverse team and population
Bilingual English/Spanish


Social Worker II

JOB SUMMARY:


The Social Worker II applies the principles of social work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy, and case management as a primary provider and/or as ancillary support to the primary medical provider.

In all departments, practices as a member of multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families.

The Social Worker II assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team.

Utilizes knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team.

Also, may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. As assigned, may provide supervision to Interns and unlicensed staff. May also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or other behavioral health field
Licensure in the State of California in a mental health discipline

The expected hiring range for this position is $34.13 to $46.93


SW II
The expected hiring range for this position is $35.84 to $49.28
