JOB SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineer II works to support the project team under the guidance of a Project Manager, Electrical Engineer III or Electrical Department Head by developing the virtual building model or AutoCAD drawings, complete with all supporting information content.
Performing site condition surveys, and oversite of construction activities such as processing submittals, writing addenda's, request for proposals and onsite construction review of construction activities as they pertain to the Electrical Design of the project.

Electrical Engineer III, Electrical Department Head,Director of M/E/P Engineering
SUPERVISES:
Electrical Engineer I
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists Electrical Engineer III or Electrical Department Head with electrical design of the project.
Produce electrical BIM models relative to compliance with office standards for graphics, model structure, and data management.
Produce electrical AutoCAD drawings relative to compliance with office standards for graphics, drawing structure, and data management.
Coordinate and prepare electrical loading, circuit electrical loads and lighting calculations of the project.
Prepare and/or obtain electrical equipment selections.
Prepare complete and constructible details for the electrical work.
Editing of project specifications.
Preparing cost estimating for all electrical aspects of the project.
Coordinating and executing the High Performance Design (LEED, CHPS, etc.) when part of project objectives.
Execution of the electrical design during Construction Administration phase with tasks such as submittal review, RFI research and response.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Oversees and manages Electrical Engineer I's.
Recruits, hires and trains staff.
Evaluates employee performance and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers and disciplinary action.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stay abreast of industry technology and developments including knowledge of local codes.
Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
IE Certification or 8+ years of experience in the electrical engineering field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the basic principles of electrical engineering.
Experience with BIM software, Revit preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD software.
Experience with specification software, SpecLink preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, NewForma or similar.
Knowledge of Building, Energy and Electrical codes
Knowledge of modern building construction methods and materials and of the preparation of specifications.
Demonstrated successful ability to delegate, manage, and oversee workload of junior level engineers.
Excellent verbal and written skills, including ability to present to others in small and large group formats.
Excellent project management skills, with ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities effectively, while delivering quality work on time.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a priority on cost effectiveness and client satisfaction.
PAY RANGE:
$85,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience and licensure.
