Lecturer (m/f/d) for the module International Aspects of Business Management in the Business Administration program at the Windsor Heights, IA campus


The iba | International Vocational Academy of the F+U Group gGmbH is Germany's largest state-recognized vocational academy offering dual bachelor's degree programs at twelve campuses in Berlin, Bochum, Darmstadt, Erfurt, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Kassel, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Münster, and Nuremberg.


For our
campus in Bochum, we are looking for a lecturer (m/f/d) to join our team for the summer semester of 2023 to teach the course Management of International Companies.


The course consists of 35 teaching units (45 minutes each) and will take place from April to mid-September 2023 on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, with 3/4 teaching units per week.


The course will cover the following topics:

Basics:


  • Terminology and objectives of internationalization
  • Development trends, current trends, and the special role of SMEs
  • Characteristics of international companies
  • Selected concepts of internationalization

Risks in international management:


  • Different institutional framework conditions as influencing factors of international business activities
  • Exogenous risks and potential hedging mechanisms
  • Endogenous risks and potential hedging mechanisms

Strategies of internationally operating companies:


  • Market entry and market development
  • Target
