Shop Technician I - Long Island City, United States - Williams Valve

Description

• Assemble and disassemble components following instructions
• Use of Handtools, manual, pneumatic, electric
• Perform Inspection to parts.
• Use of manual machining equipment
• Operate CNC equipment (will train)
• Cut material.
• Move parts with forklift
• Clean parts as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety requirements
• Document Work as required
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing
• Must be over 18 years of age
• 2 years of Shop experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
• Mechanically inclined, Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
• Good hand and eye coordination
• Use of measurement equipment willing to train
• Maintain an excellent attendance

• Able to lift up to 50 lb frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb
