ABOUT INGENIUM SCHOOLS

  • Ingenium Schools is transforming education by restoring joy and meaning to learning. Since 2009, Ingenium Schools has helped students build confidence, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning with the Ingenium Learning System, an easily replicable, standardsbased educational model that promotes personal mastery. Ingenium Schools currently operates several charter schools, serving students throughout Los Angeles._
***: Ingenium teachers develop Profound Learning Experiences ("PLEs"). PLEs are enticing, intriguing, fun, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences that drive students to deeper meaning and understanding. Teaching with PLEs is similar to project-based learning, in that teachers design experiential units of learning that are hands-on and meaningful to students' real world experience. Teachers will both implement existing PLEs and develop their own PLEs that scaffold and guide learners from basic information, to higher levels of thinking. PLEs are tied directly to Common Core and NGSS standards. All PLEs and other teachings provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill students' potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Ingenium teachers create PLEs that are differentiated based on written curriculum and assessments that are tailored to meet the needs of their own students. Teachers differentiate for English learners, students with special needs, and other subgroups of students.
