• 3+ years of experience cooking in a commercial kitchen
• Licensed with food handlers certification
• Interest in working with the senior population
• High School diploma or equivalent

• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment.
• Study each recipe an grocery shop for all necessary ingredients
• Cook food in a timely manner
• Ensure appealing plate presentation
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
• Check freshness of food and discard outofdate items
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
• Handson experience with kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, gas and electric appliances).
• Advance knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry technique
• Leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
• Uptodate with sanitation regulations
• Culinary school diploma preferred
