- Contribute to the preparation of internal financial statements.
- Oversee and maintain a robust internal control environment.
- Record and prepare journal entries to facilitate the monthly closing process.
- Perform financial analysis to offer insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Keep detailed reconciliations for assigned accounts up-to-date.
- Aid in the creation and documentation of accounting processes.
- Evaluate current accounting practices and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with external auditors by providing required documentation and information.
- Assist with various special projects as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (ideal) - will accept other degrees with relevant experience
- 1-3 years of prior accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. This is a newly created role designed to support the company's growth and manage increased workload during their busy spring/summer season. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting experience, a strong background in general ledger (GL) accounting, and proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
