Summary/Objective

The Clubhouse Maintenance Staff assists the Facilities and Maintenance Director in all aspects of maintaining the Pine Hollow clubhouse facility.

Maintains surfaces, installs features and makes minor repairs to maintain clubhouse facilities in a pristine and functional manner.


Essential Functions

• Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the clubhouse.
• Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club's PM procedures.
• Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paves brick.
• Installs or replaces locks.
• Replaces or repairs windows.
• Repairs small motors and lighting fixtures as needed.
• Paints walls, trim, and other surfaces as needed.
• Maintains and enhances wooden floors and surfaces.
• Installs and repairs tile flooring or other tile surfaces.
• Interacts in a professional manner when encountering members, guests, and vendors.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Facilities Director.

Competency Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a vocational technical school or postsecondary training in small engine repair or mechanics
• Two to three years of experience as a mechanic
• Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems and make minor repairs on outlets, lamps, and plumbing fixtures.
• General knowledge of power tools.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is non-exempt and is expected to work an average of 40 weeks and at times may need to work up to a 12-hour shift.

Work Environment
The position works inside and outside the Clubhouse and around the grounds as needed. This position is exposed to all weather conditions for extended periods of time and on a daily basis.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to climb stairs, spend 46 hours per day standing and walk the entire golf course and physically inspect other areas across 133 acres of property.
• Ability to move to and from various points within facilities, as well as within the outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 50 lbs. up to 50 feet.
• Ability to communicate clearly in routine conversations in person, via telephone or 2way radio. Must be able to hear normal sounds with background noise and distinguish voice patterns.
• Ability to perform manipulative skills that require handeye coordination such as a repair, calculator or computer and be able to see objects closely as in typing a document or reading a report.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position such as frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions
• Abilityto pay attention to detail and concentrate.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Uses protective equipment as appropriate, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, steeltoe boots, and hat.
