ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

PROGRAM SUMMARY


The Family Child Care Network is a component of the Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services (ECLW) division at CPC.

The goals are to promote children's holistic development with high-quality learning in safe, healthy home environments; help families access childcare that meets their diverse needs; support staff to understand affiliated child care providers' needs, monitor program delivery; and increase the capacity of providers to provide children with a high-quality education through training on childcare regulations and research-supported curricula.


JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Network Director and Deputy Network Director, the full-time Program Assistant's responsibilities will include clerical tasks such as being involved with parent co-pays, data entry, answering the Network's phone system, and other tasks to support the Network.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the FCCN Deputy Director and Bookkeeper on tracking FCCN parent copays, education records & training certificates
  • Conduct followup communications with parents on their status of copays, and possible visits
  • Work with the FCCN Deputy Director and Bookkeeper to prepare biweekly/monthly receivables, and data entry
  • Assist with preparing and organizing family and provider activities, professional development/trainings, and meetings
  • Assist the Network's outreach and community engagement activities
  • Send reminders of ECLW and Network meetings to staff, guest speakers and take minutes
  • Monitor and track office equipment, office supply inventory and prepare requisition for the replenishment of items as necessary
  • Perform general clerical tasks including and not limited to filing, copying, mailing, tracking, and program administration
  • Operate the Network's phone system
  • Other duties as requested by Network Director and Deputy Network Directors to fulfill job responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:


  • Minimum High School Diploma
    or Child Development Associate Credential with two years of professional experience in clerical duties

Skills and Competencies:


  • Working knowledge of computer and PC based software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle numerous complex tasks
  • Bilingual in English and either Chinese, Spanish, or Korean preferred

Additional Requirements:


  • Must meet all applicable federal, state, and city requirements to work with children in an early childhood setting
  • Able to work on some Saturdays and evenings

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW
- $ $21.98 per hour; 35 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends
