Become part of Discovery, a vibrant, high-quality Montessori community for children aged 12 weeks to 6 years.

The Opportunity. We are conducting a search for full-time and part-time classroom assistants to support our infant (ages 3 mos. - 18 mos), toddler (ages 18 mos. - 3 years), and preschool years) communities. Assistants must be available to work 8:30am - 5:30pm or 9:30am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday. Under the direction of the Head of School, you will help children fulfill their developmental potential in an authentically prepared, inspiring Montessori environment. Montessori experience is not required, but we welcome educators with an appreciation for and who are open to learning more about the method. We provide training and resources to our new staff members.

Have earned at least 12 collegelevel early childhood education credits, including at least 3 credits in infant/toddler care and development
Enjoy working with young children
Are warm, joyful, and professional
Have valid CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to become CPR and first aidcertified before you begin employment)
Have negative TB test results within the last 12 months (or willingness to take a TB test which show negative results before your first day of employment)
Are a US citizen or green card holder
Have experience working in highquality preschools, particularly authentic Montessori preschools
Speak other languages
Have interests that you enjoy sharing with children such as music, art, science, gardening, and movement
