- Provide engineering consultation for compliance with FAA and industry standards and best practices and provide recommendations for solutions in all phases of the system's lifecycle including contract, policy, site survey, design and design review, and implementation.
- Participate in the technical evaluation, development, administration, management, and strategy of project planning and implementation.
- Prepare technical reports, identify systemic problems, and provide recommendations, including cost estimates and project prioritization, for government clients.
- Produce clear and concise general and technical writing products and tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stakeholders, peers, and management levels.
- Provide timely/accurate responses to all technical and program inquiries received.
- Work independently to achieve day-to-day Program objectives which may significantly impact operational results or program objectives.
- Monitor and report on progress and project deliverables; Generate monthly and semi-annual status reports per established format.
- Assist program leads on the execution of projects with technical issues.
- Review project schedules as required and provide input to FAA managers.
- Organize impromptu telecoms/meetings to ensure all projects maintain schedule and cost.
- Utilize special client databases and provide programmatic input to other team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Support the development of acquisition artifacts including Scopes of Work (SOW), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Technical Evaluation Plans, Requests for Information (RFIs), etc.
- Support the evaluation of vendor proposals and other submittals.
- Prepare, maintain, and provide periodic project updates to the team, management, and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects towards successful on-time completion.
- Conduct efficient, organized data gathering and data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering from an accredited college with 8 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems, and/or construction methodologies is preferred.
- Writing skills exhibited through engineering reports, white papers, or publications.
- Technical expertise through experience in engineering design and research and development.
- Proficiency in MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project) and applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines to completion.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance. Public Trust requires US Citizenship or a Green Card and 3 years of residency in the United States.
- Familiarity with FAA systems (i.e., NAVAIDS, ATCT, TRACON, ARTCC) and FAA standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with military and industry standards such as IEEE, NEC, OSHAand other industry standards is a plus.
- Prior experience working in federal government contracting, particularly with the FAA.
- Experience with some or all of the following are desired: transients in power distribution systems, engine generator, UPS, grounding, lightning protection.
