    Director of Finance, Lombard, IL or Waseca, MN

    HYBRID SCHEDULE, work 2 days from home

    Generous Comp package offered at $180K including Bonus + Benefits

    The Director of Finance has the overall responsibility for financial planning and analysis for the division. Directing Corporate Finance teams globally, this position is accountable for the Financial Management and Corporate Oversight of financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, identifying areas for improvement, maximization of profitability and reporting results to Executive Management.

    This role is based out of either Corporate locations in Lombard, IL or Waseca, MN

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the global financial accounting teams at the various operating locations of the division
    • Analyze financial results and explain key findings and variances to senior management
    • Manage and review of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results
    • Ensure compliance with Company policies and US GAAP for division financial reporting
    • Management of financial internal controls in accordance with SOX guidelines
    • Provide financial analyses for the division and oversee revenue recognition during monthly close process
    • Partner with Corporate Executives to maximize growth and profitability of business unit
    • Report and analyze key metrics to improve business performance
    • Overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and business plans
    • Designated Strategic Business Partner to Corporate Executives
    • Promote continuous improvement of the planning process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their functions
    • Review pricing/margin proposals and assist in solutions where margin constraints exist
    • Review terms of lease, supplier, customer and other contracts and support negotiations
    • Participate in analysis of acquisitions, due diligence and integration into business unit
    • Contribute to monthly management reporting package
    • Liaise with Corporate Finance team, internal and external auditors and tax advisors

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities
    • Conduct reviews of proposals and endorse or revise them prior to making recommendations regarding their implementation, ensuring that they support the Operations Master Plan
    • Select and maintain qualified personnel. Establish and maintain positive working relationships within assigned teams and with the departments, customers, and vendors
    • Provide training and mentoring for accounting staff ensuring the duties and responsibilities for each position are defined and understood

    Requirements

    • BS in business, accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 10+ years' of Executive Finance with 3 years' manufacturing and public Accounting experience
    • Adept with analyzation of financial and operating data and effectively report
    • Willing and able to travel globally approximately 20% of the year
    • Ability to implement all required staff training and mentoring
    • Thorough knowledge of GAAP as well as relevant financial laws and regulations
    • Stellar leadership skills with an "open door policy"
    • Ability to promote/implement Company policies and procedures
    • Ability to determine and apply appropriate leadership styles and sense of urgency, and to encourage creative, innovative, resourceful entrepreneurial activities
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and issues, to anticipate, negotiate and manage conflicts, problems, stressful/changing situations, and simultaneous deadlines
    • Ability to apply knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, processes or systems and skills to improve performance, quality, and timeliness, to make thoughtful recommendations, decisions and to solve problems, using good judgment
    • Ability to operate with efficiency and persistence, planning and implementing modern technologies/methods as needed
    • Strong comprehension of ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
    • Highly adept with performing math calculations, measurement, analysis and reporting as required
    • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
    • Stellar interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships and rapport
    • Ability to recruit, mentor and/or motivate personnel to balance strength with profitability and growth and to organize, plan, delegate and prioritize work
    • CPA is a plus and electronic components experience are highly desired
    • Advanced MS Excel skills and ERP software proficiency required and proficiency with Oracle Experience a plus
