What You Will Do/Need (Job Summary) Under the direction of the Director of Operations & Logistics Manager, the Field Transpiration Specialist (FTS) is responsible for delivering and receiving medical equipment to customers. The FTS will timely and accurately deliver and/or pickup medical equipment to specified medical facility locations, loading, and unloading the truck or trailer. The FTS also performs shipping and receiving duties at the warehouse when not working on a route.


Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities) Transportation Logistics

  • Reads customer orders to determine items to be delivered or received at pick up and drop off
  • Checks equipment in against receiving ticket before and after delivery or receiving to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
  • Loads, transports, delivers, and unloads truck or trailer by hand or by use of forklift
  • Secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipments
  • Delivers medical equipment to customers in a timely manner by driving 26foot box truck or by flight
  • Makes prompt onschedule deliveries and pickups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule
  • Adheres to assigned routes and follows time schedules
  • Reports and record damage to vehicles, product and/or equipment
  • Abides by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Acts as a reLink Medical company representative and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor to customer
  • Works to establish and maintain good customer relationships
  • Ensures customer satisfaction Warehouse Shipping and Receiving
  • Loads and unloads shipment truck when product is delivered or ready to be sent out
  • Reads customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and set up for delivery
  • Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
  • Operates pallet jack and freight scale
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs other services and duties as assigned by the Warehouse manager

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required)

  • 1 year of experience driving a 26ft box truck
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience packing and completing shipment process
  • Valid Maryland Driver's License meeting driving requirements, required
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Possess strong time management and customer service skills
  • Must have appropriate and professional appearance and demeaner
  • Must be able to make decisions that are aligned with reLink Medical Policy and Procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment and supplies such as pallet jack, freight scale, etc.
  • Must be able to travel by flight when needed
  • Required ability to push, pull, sit for long periods of time, stand, crouch, reach, and have visual acuity
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This job operates approximately 3-4 days per week in transportation logistics, driving a 26-foot box truck, or by flight. Away from home approximately Tuesday-Thursday on average. This position may drive up to 10 hours and may work up to 12 hours per day.


The other days per week are typically spent planning, loading, unloading, maintaining logistics supplies and warehouse work, as required and directed.

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday.


This is an hourly, non-exempt position providing overnight lodging, food, and mobile phone stipend while on long-distance transportation routes completing overtime as required.


Travel:
Requires travel either by driving up to 60% of the work week
