Purpose
Safe and efficient picking up and delivering lawn and garden equipment while providing excellent customer service.

Duties also include washing and general maintenance of lawn and garden equipment on the lot, management of buyer guides and documents and sales and promotion tags for equipment, as well as cleaning of grounds and other miscellaneous tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Transports lawn and garden equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to our customers
  • Executes loading & unloading product carefully to prevent damage
  • Supports the sales department with lawn and garden equipment delivery as needed
  • Drives company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner and in compliance with company policy
  • Maintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
  • Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties
  • May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Responsible for cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles as well as observing company safety procedures
  • Assist in keeping lot and lawn and garden equipment clean and orderly in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Routinely lifts items weighting up to 50 lbs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
  • 1+ year of delivery experience
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license required with verifiable safe driving history
