Description

Ascends Fleet Manager /Dispatch is responsible for managing a fleet of drivers to meet or exceed all required metrics, maximize revenue, and minimize costs, and meet or exceed the customer's service needs.

• Improve employee relations and driver satisfaction to reduce turnover
• Collaborate with operational personnel and dispatch drivers
• Prioritize driver safety and provide necessary support
• Manage driver performance, productivity, and disciplinary actions
• Offer timely and actionable feedback to drivers
• Monitor and manage outofroute mileage
• Enforce company policies and ensure accurate payroll
• Serve as a liaison between drivers and other operational departments
• Resolve load issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work with planners and drivers to achieve weekly mileage goals
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management and drivers
• Exemplify and promote company values, including safety, courage, integrity, teamwork, and fun

• Previous experience in or knowledge of the transportation industry preferred
• High School Diploma or GED

• Strong management and selfmanagement skills
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Proficient in computerbased keyboard skills and software systems
• Demonstrates effective decisionmaking and relationshipbuilding skills
• Capable of meeting deadlines, fostering teamwork, coaching drivers, and promoting a culture of trust and safety
