The primary objective of this position is to work with the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration to oversee and coordinate all mail center responsibilities in accordance with postal and various carrier regulations.

Budget administration, supervision of mail center staff, maintenance of the postal boxes, and the various machines are also a responsibility of this position.


Essential Duties Summary

  • Oversee mail center operations in accordance with postal and various carrier regulations. Maintain updated rate information for all carriers;
  • Oversee the campus mail system including sorting and distribution of all College mail, forward student mail as instructed and act as a liaison for external carriers;
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of copy and print jobs;
  • Administrative duties include budget administration. Process department billings and invoices for payment to vendors. Procure funds to cover postage, Tracking of student and faculty box numbers and addresses for forwarding mail;
  • Maintain and repair postal boxes. Operate postal meter system, scale, fax machine and cash register;
  • Maintain all copy machines and provide appropriate supplies by ordering sufficient paper and toner;
  • Prepare bulk mailings as directed.

Required Qualifications

Education/Licensure

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field required;
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 23 years' supervisory experience;
  • 23 years' experience in a mail room and/or print & copy center.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
