- Nurse Practitioner:
- Works under moderate supervision of a physician to provide advanced practice nursing care and treatment within primary care and/or board-recognized specialization.
- Provides outpatient and/or inpatient evaluation and treatment of well care, illness, and injuries.
- Performs laboratory review and modifies treatment plan as indicated by laboratory findings.
- Obtains and records complete medical history.
- Assesses patient database and identifies biopsychosocial needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and laboratory studies.
- Develops and establishes treatment plan and participates in interprofessional care.
- Counsels and educates patients regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Participates in quality and safety organizational programs and reviews.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Physician Assistant:
- To provide primary health care services in a clinical setting under the supervision and direction of a primary care physician.
- Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician.
- Formulates appropriate differential diagnosis.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and laboratory studies.
- Develops and establishes treatment plan in accordance with established protocols of the direction of the supervising physician.
- Counsels and educates patients regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assists in public/campus awareness of Health Services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Current PA licensure from the State Board of Physician Assistants.
- Current Certification from NCCPA.
- None.
- One year of experience in adult health, adolescent health, or obstetrics and gynecology with a Bachelor's degree.
