Sales Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inside and outside sales, with a minimum of 5 years of selling experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 10 inside sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Execute and enhance the Inside Sales Progression Plan fostering the development and placement of inside sellers into outside sales (Area Sales Managers)
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the dealer and contractor channel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, including dealers and contractors, to understand their needs and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Customer Experience to develop sales strategies, set goals, and monitor performance metrics.
- Lead by example by actively participating in sales calls, meetings, and presentations to support team members and drive sales success.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable insights to optimize sales performance.
- Work crossfunctionally with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform strategic decisionmaking and maintain a competitive edge.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with channel partners and internal stakeholders/crossfunctional partners
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans and initiatives to drive business growth.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience working in the building materials or construction industry is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
Pay:
From $90,000.00 per year
