Daycare Assistant Infant Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and nurturing individual to join our daycare team as a Daycare Assistant Infant Teacher.
In this role, you will work closely with the lead infant teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the care and development of infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead infant teacher in creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for infants.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate infants' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Provide basic care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Observe and document each infant's progress, behaviors, and milestones.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing daily updates on their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up play areas and sanitizing toys.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the daycare center, promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with infants, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to the well-being and safety of the infants in your care.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Clear criminal background check and child abuse clearance.

Experience:
