In this vital role you will be a critical leader within the brand team, with a focus on KOL engagement strategies and tactics for the launch in gMG.

This role will impart cross-functional coordination, strong teamwork and communication skills, a passion for patients, and a dedication to excellence in carry through.


The UPLIZNA gMG Marketing team will focus on developing and implementing strategies for educating Neurologists and differentiating the benefits of UPLIZNA for patients with gMG.

UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD19 cell surface marker on B-cells.

UPLIZNA is currently indicated for the treatment of Neuromyelitis Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and is in development for other autoimmune disorders, including Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG).

gMG is a chronic autoimmune disorder caused by autoantibodies in the neuromuscular junction that attack muscle receptors, leading to poor neuromuscular transmission.


  • Own the development of the KOL engagement strategy and partner across the matrix team to engage with thought leaders
  • Lead the development medical marketing promotional strategy and tactics including peer to peer programs, speaker decks, product theaters, and resources for the field marketing team.
  • Design and lead professional advisory board meetings to obtain feedback from external authorities including uncovering and communicating insights and developing and presenting summary reports to the crossfunctional launch team.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the disease state, competitive landscape and therapeutic management of the space while working collaboratively with crossfunctional partners to continue to grow product adoption.
  • Collaborate with market research to develop and implement an insights generation plan. Maintain an indepth knowledge of competitive activity and market dynamics that can affect the product's development. Leverage brand insights to inform segmentation, channel mix preferences, and targeting of customer segments.
  • Collaborate with HCP Marketing to develop and implement a robust congress strategy prioritized by target selection
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand plan with responsibility for defining and driving key areas within the associated tactical plans.m

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing or Sales/Sales Ops experience

Or

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Marketing or Sales/Sales Ops experience

Or

Associate's degree and 8 years of Marketing or Sales/Sales Ops experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing or Sales/Sales Ops experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Strong marketing competencies to include brand positioning, campaign development, marketplace analysis, insight generation, HCP & patient segmentation, brand sustainability, and customer engagement.
  • Adept in leading and influencing crossfunctional teams
  • Strong communication efficiency: ability to engage, connect, and influence key partners across the sales and marketing organizations
  • Neurology and/or rare disease launch experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with external experts and professional medical associations.
  • Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors.
  • Requires approximately 30% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
