Responsibilities:


  • Implementation of

Behavior Plans:

Execute behavior intervention plans developed by BCBAs to address specific behavioral goals and objectives for clients, with accuracy and fidelity.


  • Direct Client Interaction: Provide oneonone therapy sessions with clients, responsible for keeping the child engaged, the setup of incidental learning opportunities and teaching appropriate play and social skills in a manor that respect and dignity are always provided.
  • Data Collection: Collect and record data on client progress, behavior observations, and other relevant information to assist in the ongoing assessment of treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team as directed by the BCBA, including other BCBAs, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators, to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to treatment.

Caregiver Participation Opportunities:

Provide opportunities to model the plan to parents, caregivers, and other relevant individuals on the implementation of behavior strategies and techniques in the natural environment, as directed by the BCBA.


  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and uptodate client records, documenting interventions, progress, and any relevant changes in behavior, communicate any concerns with BCBA
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to treatment. Communicate effectively with BCBA and company leadership regarding any client concerns, or other concerns.
  • Ethics: Follow all ethical requirements as established by BACB, including maintaining professional and respectful relationships, and only working within scope of competency.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current best practices and advancements in the field of applied behavior analysis through ongoing training and professional development activities, as directed. Maintain RBT credential and good standing with BACB.

Experience:


  • Preference of at least 1 year of experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician with the BACB, in good standing
  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma is required; some positions may require a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, their families, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Compassion and Patience: Demonstrated ability to approach clients with compassion, patience, dignity, and a commitment to their wellbeing.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from supervisory staff.
