We are looking for a well rounded Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our rapidly growing team. This role is remote and will work out of our warehouse in Taylors, SC which will house all of the materials that you will need for your day-to-day.

Someone with proven experience as a Refrigeration Service Technician would make a perfect fit

Company vehicle and card is provided. Schedule: M-F, 7-4, sometimes 10-5, will vary depending on customers needs. (2) nights a week on call during after hours. You will receive a stipend for being on call, plus overtime pay if you are called out.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct refrigerant leak detection and repair according to industry standards and regulations.
• Install new refrigeration equipment and components as needed, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their refrigeration needs and provide recommendations for optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
• Keep accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members to coordinate service appointments and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to commercial refrigeration systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a refrigeration technician program or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as a commercial refrigeration service technician, with a minimum of 4 yearsin the field.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, components, and systems, including HVAC-R systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues related to refrigeration equipment.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., EPA Universal Certification).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
