Our mission is to build a future in which Schenectady Greenmarket is an integral part of downtown's cultural landscape, connecting farm and city to create a responsible, sustainable food system.

Since 2008, Schenectady Greenmarket has been a place to buy fresh, local produce and artisan goods in a festive community atmosphere.

The market includes over 70 diverse vendors and offers our shoppers the best of local produce, prepared foods, and crafts.

Schenectady Greenmarket's Food Box Program is an initiative to continue our work in increasing healthy food access for low-income communities.

Customers will be able to sign up to participate every month to receive a weekly share at reduced cost and the market will prioritize individuals and families who indicate that they are low income in their sign up form.

Eligible participants would pay the market $10 for a small share (5-7 products) and have the option to have their order delivered if transportation is a barrier in accessing the market.

• Using the order sheets from the Food Box Program Coordinator, collect purchased produce from participating farmers and bring them to the food box assembly table.
• Complete Sunday Food Box deliveries in the event delivery driver is absent
• Box and label food boxes for delivery and support delivery driver in loading them up for delivery.
• Support customers at the assembly table in putting together their food boxes.

• Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Enjoys some physical labor
• Enjoys talking with people of all backgrounds
• Fluency in multiple languages (especially, but not limited to, Spanish)

• Weekends as needed
