Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Engineer must do the following:

Manage projects and engineering teams to complete projects on time.
Actively participate in development of inhouse standards.
Supervise staff, including establishing and communicating performance expectations,

providing positive and constructive feedback, and conducting on-the-job training of

subordinates.

Review design calculations and details to assure compliance with plans and

specifications.

Inspect project sites to monitor progress, ensure conformance to design specifications,

identify environmental risks, identify engineering problems and assess potential project

impact.

Compute load and grade requirements or material stress factors to determine design

specifications.

Provide technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design,

construction, or program modifications or structural repairs.

Direct engineering activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other

governmental regulations.

Read Architectural & Structural drawings along with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil

drawings to design steel baseplates, columns, beams, steel connections with simple

bolts, welds, metal decks, steel Seismic/Earthquake resisting systems liked Eccentric

braced Frames, Concentric Braced Frames, Moment Resisting Frames, concrete flat

plate slabs, masonry columns, shear walls, wood columns, beams, deck and

Seismic/Earthquake resisting elements.

Use computer design and analysis programs including Ram Structural, Ram concept,

ETABS, SAFE, MathCAD, spColumn.

Check concrete mix designs, steel shop and erection drawings, crane and elevator shop

drawings etc.

Prepare simple sections and orthographic details for drafting.
Review material test reports and soil reports to identify design criteria.
Support and perform field services including answering Requests for Information (RFI's),

providing field sketches and approving Shop Drawings.

Pay:
$100, $150,000.00 per year
