    Description
    As a **Respiratory Therapist** at **Merit Health Wesley**, you'll have a crucial role in providing top-notch care to our patients. **About the Position:** - The Respiratory Therapist is in charge of administering pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures as prescribed by physicians. - Full-time position with DAY/NIGHT shifts available (12-hour shifts). **Requirements:** - An Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is a must. Preferably, one year of experience in acute Respiratory Therapy Services. - Must hold a credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or **Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)**. - A Respiratory Therapist License from the state of Mississippi is necessary. - **Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required**. (NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire). - Experience with Ventilators, High Flow O2, and BiPaps is essential. - Cerner charting experience is considered a bonus. - Positive attitude and good time management skills are a must. **Responsibilities:** - Assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. - Analyzing sputum, blood, and breath specimens for gas levels. - Properly assessing and monitoring patients' response to Respiratory Care treatments. - Recommending and initiating appropriate respiratory care procedures based on observed abnormalities. - Collaborating with other healthcare professionals for effective patient care delivery. - Ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures. **Merit Health Wesley** is a company that values motivation, inspiration, and growth.
