YOUR APPRENTICESHIP AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL ESSEN:

The practice-oriented apprenticeship lasts a total of 3 years and includes theoretical and practical components, divided into modules. The five main subject areas cover hematology, histology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology.

It ends after 3 years with a state examination and entitles you to use the title Medical Technologist for Laboratory Analysis.
