    YOUR TEAM

    The UI Foundations team at Nuna is primarily responsible for designing, architecting and building a robust, scalable and intuitive UI platform that serves as the bedrock for all our front-end applications, providing top-notch user experiences for providers and payers. We measure our products success by how much they improve care and lower costs. As an engineering-led culture, you will be at the vanguard of making healthcare work for all Americans. Today, your contributions will help hospitals improve patient outcomes, enable health plans to pay for quality-of-care rather than quantity-of-care, and match patients to optimal doctors. Tomorrow, youll be creating even bigger and better products to shape this industry.

    YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

    This is a hands on role, and you will be expected to spend 20+ hours a week writing code.

    Technical Leadership and Strategy

    • Own the front end technical roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the business objectives
    • Lead the design, architecture & implementation of scalable and robust front end platforms, making decisions on technologies, tools and best practices
    • Collaborate closely with EMs, PMs UI/UX designers and back-end teams to ensure a seamless user experience

    Development and Quality Assurance

    • Advocate for and enforce best practices in code quality, testing and maintainability
    • Regularly review code, provide feedback and ensure front-end standards are met

    Mentorship and Team growth

    • Nurture growth of individual team members through mentorship, feedback and targeted challenges
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and encourage a culture of continuous learning within the team
    • Aid in recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of new team members

    Collaboration

    • Regularly communicate with stakeholders about the UI platform progress, challenges and strategic decisions
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of the UI platform with other system components

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
    • 8+ years of professional front end development experience with 2 years in technical leadership or a senior engineering role
    • Expertise in modern frontend javascript frameworks , typescript, )
    • Familiarity with component and charting libraries (Mantine, )
    • Strong grasp of front end architecture, including performance, accessibility, responsiveness
    • Experience in building and evolving complex UI platforms
    • Exceptional problem solving skills and a passion for innovation
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    • Experience in the healthcare SaaS domain
    • Experience in UI/UX design principles and tooling

    TECHNOLOGIES USED AT NUNA

    • Python, Scala, SQL, testing tools (e.g. pytest), build tools (Bazel, poetry)
    • Spark, Prefect, JupyterHub, k8s
    • Linux, OS X
    • AWS ECS, RDS, IAM, Lambda; Hashicorp Terraform and Vault

    We take into account an individuals qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the companys equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $165,000 to $230,000. The actual offer will be at the companys sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidates qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
