    Description

    First Class Workforce Solutions is looking for an experienced and passionate Prep Cook to help support a fast-paced team. As a Prep Cook, you will provide a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. If you are detail-oriented, have a passion for culinary excellence, and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, this role is for you.

    Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Ready ingredients before service for use by the line cooks in the preparation process.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including storage areas.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team for timely and efficient food preparation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, communicating shortages or replenishment needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations governing food preparation and storage.
  • Always follow food service sanitation regulations.
  • Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Foster a positive and team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.
