COMPASS Learning Advantage is an summer camp in Hoboken, New Jersey. It is based at our Clubhouse in downtown Hoboken.

Compass is looking for fun, energetic & caring staff who love working with children for its Summer 2023 season. COMPASS Summer Camp is a special type of community where kids come together to have fun. Children develop a sense of independence within the camp setting as they try new adventures away from home. Summer camps are known for providing a safe environment where children gain self-confidence as they learn new skills. The program includes STEM, arts & crafts, recreation, and team building. Full-day campers will participate in 1 hour of swimming or rock climbing every day. COMPASS Summer Camp runs for 10 weeks from June 24th to August 30th 024.

Counselors must be at least 19 years of age.

Counselors will work together as a team with two other counselors and with their assigned group of children and are responsible for the health and welfare of their campers each day.

Counselors are with their group throughout the day at all of their activities, assisting the specialists and supporting and encouraging their campers.

The role:

• Be a mentor to the campers. Get to know the children and allow them to be your friend.
• Enhance your communications skills
• Gain leadership experience.
• Make great friends and forge real human connections
• Actively support and encourage all children to do their best
• Kids need to be shown how to positively interact with others
• MUST interact with all children and staff
• Counselors need to be able to lead Art, STEM, and recreational activity
• Must be able to pull a trolley
• Will be expected to walk between locations with the children

Expectations:

• COMPASS needs a reliable counselor that can be available from 24th June 2024 till 30th August 202
  MUST give all vacation dates at your hire date
• Full-Time role pm

Salary contingent upon experience.
