Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is looking to hire an experienced District Manager for
Northern IL (Chicagoland)
THE ROLE
The
Regional Retail Director effectively leads their team of Store Managers and ensures strong retail performance, with responsibilities in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and P&L management of the retail stores.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitor the P&L reports for each store and develop effective ways to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company
- Prioritize store performance issues to make certain that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first
- Immediately address any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local, state, and federal laws
- Ensuring regionwide customer satisfaction and product quality
- Act as a coach to the store managers and as a resource to each store employee to help inspire the success of each store
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail performance, ensuring efficient and sound operations, maximum profit, and a bestinclass store experience
- Establish and ensure key performance indicators (KPI) are being tracked and maintained in all store locations
- Anticipate market trends and opportunities by analyzing existing product performance, customer insights, and individual store KPI's
- Manage the purchasing and procurement of product mixes per location; set pricing and promotional strategies
- Ensure bestinclass customer experience exists by staying connected to customer needs, anticipating changes, and preparing teams to
- Maintain active presence in the stores and provide support for in store events
- Analyze and create weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports
- Partner with Senior Leadership to develop, execute and evaluate strategies for opening new retail locations
- Develop initial store operating budget in coordination with Store Manager and Finance Department
- Establish staffing levels for new stores and partner with Human Resources to ensure a proper hiring plan is in place
- Ensure successful implementation of POS system in new locations, including employee training
- Maintain physical presence throughout store set up and store openings
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to plan product allocation, merchandising plans, promotional signage, and social media
- Partner with cross functional leaders and Store Managers to monitor store inventory, staffing and other critical operational functions to
- Partner with Compliance and HR to implement Standard Operating Procedures for all retail locations, and ensure they are in full
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or 9+ years' experience in lieu of degree, in a senior management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS Strong
through execution
- Cannabis industry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Must be a collaborative team player who can both nurture and develop retail management
- Proven leadership ability, as well as strength in building internal partnerships
- Ability to think strategically and develop achievable longterm goals
- Strong quantitative, analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication, criticalthinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction
- Strong organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from initial idea

- 80% travel; hours and days of availability may fluctuate during times of greater demand

- Strong project planning skills and project management skills
- Highly proficient in all MS office products (Proficient Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, and Outlook)
- Ability to proactively plan, schedule, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage ambiguity and move forward during change
- Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problemsolver, including an ability to gather and analyze data and quickly identify key
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to regularly interface with senior management
