JOB SUMMARY:
Inventory Supervisor is responsible for all job functions in the inventory department. This includes the proper receipt of all materials into the manufacturing system and processes related to the receiving area. Inventory Supervisor is responsible for accurate inventory of the warehouse. The Supervisor is responsible for the racking layout and efficient flow of material from receiving to the racks. Also, the Inventory Supervisor is responsible for all material pulling functions for other plant sites and customer parts orders. He/she is also responsible for all employees assigned to the department.

The inventory supervisor must maintain accurate transactions of material in the manufacturing system and monitor that system to ensure transfer orders are completed as required and not un-timely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the duties of Inventory Team Members in all areasDevelop inventory processes to optimize flowWork with quality and the parent company to ensure continual improvement of parts receiving, storage, and picking process.

Create Job instructions and ensure proper training of employees.

Supervise employees assigned to Inventory DepartmentProvide necessary inventory support to the satellite facilities in the U.S., Canada, and MexicoCoordinate material movement, racking layouts, labeling, stocking methods, and material storage setup in conjunction with Industrial EngineeringCheck quality of work performed by employees assigned to department and provide proper accountabilityWork closely with other Operations departments to provide the proper level of support to meet performance measurableMaintain a clean and safe work environmentManage lift equipment and coordinate the maintenance needs with vendorsTrainer for forklift certificationsOther duties as necessaryMust be promoting and maintaining a Continuous Improvement environment in the shop areaBe an active participant in the company's suggestion, quality, efficiency and cost-saving programs.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation:
High School Diploma. College or technical degree preferred. Supervisory and leadership training preferred.

Experience:
One-year Nord experience or equivalent 5 years' experience working in an inventory environment in a similar industry setting. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Some level of Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.

Skills and Key Attributes:
Ability to lead people. Conduct training and job instruction development. Have an understanding of common warehouse inventory concepts and practices. Ability to identify component parts. Good organizational skills. Familiarity with PC or/or NORD operating system, email, SAP. Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours/day.
