Safety Manager


As the Safety Manager it is your primary responsibility to ensure the construction workforce is in a safe environment by continuously implementing, evaluating, and monitoring safety protocols.

The Safety Manager also develops and implements strategies to control risks in the workplace and assures that the company complies with workplace safety regulations.


Key responsibilities
***- Oversee and develop safety policies and procedures for the company.

  • Maintain, submit, and update all safety procedures and certificates in membership sites ISNetworld and Avetta.
  • Maintain, submit, and update OSHA logs (including OSHA 300 forms quarterly.)
  • Ensure that an ERP is created for each job.
  • Ensure that Project Managers are calling in one call (811) and keeping them updated throughout the project.
  • Organize safety department personnel to optimize resources and analysis of information.
  • Manage timely safety reporting to management and third parties.
  • Analyze data to facilitate a proactive safety culture.
  • Develop relationships with field management personnel to reach desired safety goals.
  • Keep safety related records on the server as directed.
  • Ensure that employee safety training and certifications are administered and refreshed/renewed as required.
  • Conduct site inspections, assess different work conditions, adhere to the health and safety protocols imposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
  • Identify possible workrelated safety issues and risks on projects.
  • Perform and oversee the investigation of accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
  • Implement, inspect and maintain job site and office manuals. Train employees in various safety procedures according to the construction safety management plan.

Qualifications:


_ Travel is required
_

  • 4 + years of experience in construction safety management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and other office suite products.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified.
  • Experience working with commercial or civil construction projects.
