The QA Lead is experienced in software testing and supervising teams of QA analysts. The QA Lead will interact frequently with QA testers, product management, and technology.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Business Requirements / External Customers

  • Supervise software quality analysts and test leads.
  • Oversee and participate in the creation of test design and testing requirements
  • Develop and execute test plans with the QA testing team
  • Work closely with the Products and Engineering teams to understand the product architecture and work on identifying, designing or enhancing existing testing framework to support testing development
  • Lead the development and execution of test strategy for upcoming product releases
  • Advise the project manager on the overall quality of a project through established channels
  • Create and maintain testing progress and quality reports
  • Identify opportunities to drive higher quality and improved efficiency in the test cycle
  • Resource planning and management of the offshore team
  • Understand and evaluate the relevant requirements and design documentation
  • Design, develop and execute automated scripts using testing tools

Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field

Experience:


  • Five (5) years actual experience successfully designing, implementing and executing automated tests to ensure product quality

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Handson experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Experience in with Functional testing, Integration testing and end to end testing
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services,.Net, PowerShell scripts
  • The ability to work independently
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Experience in Regression testing
  • Managing conflicting priorities and gaining consensus across multiple user groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with a formal SDLC
  • Software defect/enhancement tracking system (TFS)
  • Working knowledge of SQL or commercial query tool
