We are seeking an experienced vocal instructor for private lessons at an established performing arts studio. The position would start in our session beginning in September '24 and running through May '25. Bachelor's degree in Music, Musical Theatre, or current college student with those majors is preferred. The instructor should be well versed in proper vocal technique and exercises including warm-ups, sight reading, and music theory. The instructor should be capable of correcting improper vocal technique to avoid injuries. Basic piano skills are necessary.

The instructor should be familiar with musical theatre repertoire and be able to select appropriate pieces for students.

The instructor will prepare students for performances in our holiday show and recital, as well as other possible performances throughout the year.

Voice lessons are initially scheduled based on instructor availability and can be stacked onto 1-2 days per week if needed.

The instructor must be consistent, reliable, and on time.

Excellent communication skills are a must, as well as a positive and encouraging attitude The ability to collaborate and accept criticism is important.

The instructor should be able to work independently with little to no supervision and provide occasional lesson reports to ownership.
