THE JOB:


Peace Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests, and patrolling the property.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:


  • Patrol and monitor all areas of the property including fixed posts (indoor & outdoor) and operating the mobile security unit vehicle
  • Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
  • Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
  • Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
  • Perform all duties related to the Security Horse Racing / Paddock operation
  • When justified, handle any valid arrests, including all booking, processing and follow up procedures as dictated by NYS Law for Peace Officers
  • Obtain (if not already certified) and maintain the New York State "Peace Officer" designation through the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services
  • Perform all duties related to the "Security Dispatch" and "Lost & Found" roles
  • Utilize security software to create, edit and review security reports and other forms of incident documentation

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Possesses previous experience working on a casino security team or similar resort setting
  • Possesses a peace officer or security guard certification and/or previous law enforcement experience
  • Possesses a CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Has excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Possesses the ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques
  • Possesses the ability to participate in all evacuations procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency
  • Is comfortable with using computerbased systems for incident report writing and other documentation
