Children of the Rainbow is seeking an experienced and dynamic Mental Health Professional to be part of a dedicated team of licensed clinicians and support staff committed to addressing the unique needs and experiences of young children who have faced trauma and adversity, with a focus on serving diverse communities.
Position Overview:
The MHP promotes social and emotional well-being, of parents in their 3 trimester of pregnancy or who have children ages 0-2 years of age.
In support of parents Clinicians will implement
Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) an evidence-based home-visiting parenting program that partners with parents to support young children exposed to early adversity.
ABC Parenting trains and supervises home visitors in local communities in implementing ABC with fidelity, equity, and through partnership with children and families most negatively affected by systemic oppression.
Qualifications:
- Licensed LMFT/LCSW in the State of CA.
- Experience with inhome therapy or home visiting programs preferred.
- Strong understanding of cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to therapy.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines, standards of practice, and licensure regulations established by relevant professional organizations and state licensing boards.
- Bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish preferred.
- Verifiable experience supporting youth and families who are at highrisk for behavioral health conditions in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities.
