Buyer

Arrange the orderly delivery of raw materials to support the production plan while keeping the inventory investment within defined goals.

What you will do:

- inventory control systems and tools including kanbans, MRP, consignment and VMI.

• Monitor and maintain mínimal inventories of excess and obsolete materials according to

the defined plan.

• Follow all facility safety rules and procedures.
• Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for cost savings improvements

through waste elimination.

• Maintain and follow proper compliance and quality system requirements.
• Reviews production schedule and material requirements on a regular basis with the

Manufacturing Planner and communicates any material issues that would affect
the schedule.

• Scheduling of materials and subcontractors based on requirements of the production schedule and forecast, works with each vendor to assure adequate supplies are on hand to support the plan. Manages inventory and schedules orders using kanbans and quantity contracts. Manages vendor leadtime, transit time and flexibility of vendor schedule.
• Resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies
• Participates in the process to review specification changes among suppliers, Manufacturing and

Product Innovation. Assists in resolving quality issues with suppliers and
follow up on corrective actions.

• Support the new product development process by establishing inventory levels and

purchase orders for raw materials required to meet the defined plan.

• Product structure maintenance and new product setup in SAP.
• Participates in the process to review with Sourcing and Engineering material consumption

issues and purchase price variance.

• May periodically assist in the orientation, training, assignment, and review of work

for other coworkers.

• Will have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including working knowledge of SAP.
• Be able to communicate effectively to internal customers and suppliers, must be proficient at negotiating and have analytical skills, highly organized, able to work with little to no supervision.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic functions. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations using the units of weight measurements and metric conversions.
• Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment.

Pay:
$55, $70,000.00 per year
