_General Responsibilities:
_


Assistant Supervisors are responsible assisting with the direct oversight of employees of a designated account and/or on a designated shift.

To include ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met. This is a standing post & driving post, with constant patrolling of the Terminal, Ramp, and Cargo Area.

  • Provide technical guidance, interpret policies and procedures, and assist frontline employees in performing functional tasks.
  • Ensure that shift schedules are complete (days off, vacations, etc.) a week in advance.
  • Work with leadership to ensure all callouts are covered.
  • Accommodate increased / decreased client staffing requests.
  • Manage the No-Fault Attendance Policy
  • Represent ABM by participating in client briefings and communicating with Client representatives on a frequent basis regarding operations.
  • Manage daily employee lunches and breaks.
  • Maintain daily shift report for managers.
  • Perform basic administrative, payroll and Attendance functions (as required).
  • Maintain communication with Account Managers to monitor and maintain optimum staffing levels.
  • Effectively coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Conduct Safety and Quality audits.
  • Work with Safety Quality Manager to ensure the safety, security, and quality of the operation.
  • Ensure frontline employee compliance with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

_General Company Requirements:

  • Employee must comply with the Company's uniform and grooming standards and must always wear his or her SIDA badge/Airport ID.
  • Employee must comply with all guidelines and policies set forth in the ABM Team Member National Handbook & the New York Supplemental Handbook.

_License / Certificates:
_


  • Valid 8 hours annual inservice training certificate 16 hours OJT certificate

_Experience:
_


  • Three years of experience working as a Janitorial Supervisor.

_Overall __:
_**- Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
  • Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable)
