Description
ATA Plant and Environmental Analysis

Plants and plant products are used as food, feed, or renewable resources, such as for energy production. The monitoring of the required quality is very important. Protecting the environment (soil, water, air) is also one of the pressing problems of our time. As an ATA specializing in plant and environmental analysis, you will examine plants and their products, such as valuable ingredients.

How much minerals, vitamins, or sugar does the plant contain?

Does it contain harmful residues such as pesticides or heavy metals?

In plant technology, you will learn about modern breeding methods to improve plant characteristics such as disease or drought resistance. You will also conduct experiments in the greenhouse, which you will then supervise and evaluate. This includes using biotechnological methods such as cell and tissue cultures and genetic analyses. What qualifications are required?
  • You have a secondary school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife at Realschule or M-Zweig at Mittelschule)
  • You are curious about scientific relationships, especially chemistry and biology
  • You enjoy working neatly
  • You are self-directed and precise
