Specific Duties & Responsibilities

The core responsibility for the position will be data analysis, using a broad range of analytic methods.
The Biostatistician will create analytical plans, develop specifications for analytic datasets, create data dictionaries, write and implement statistical programs, and provide statistical consultation for PI, coinvestigators and other staff.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed to collaborate with investigators from a variety of disciplines and to present findings with the potential to coauthor scientific papers.
The individual will support multiple research projects, and must be proactive, resourceful, selfdirected, highly organized, and able to work independently and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field.
Oneyear related experience.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience analyzing longitudinal data in the context of a research study.
Experience with advanced methods (e.g., multiple imputation, propensity scores, geospatial analyses, etc.), manuscript and presentation preparation is desirable.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Stata, SAS, or R (proficiency with multiple statistical programs preferred).
Experience in database software helpful. Knowledge of additional specialized software (e.g. SQL, Python, ArcGIS, M-Plus) welcomed.

$55,200 - $96,600 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
