Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • The core responsibility for the position will be data analysis, using a broad range of analytic methods.
  • The Biostatistician will create analytical plans, develop specifications for analytic datasets, create data dictionaries, write and implement statistical programs, and provide statistical consultation for PI, coinvestigators and other staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed to collaborate with investigators from a variety of disciplines and to present findings with the potential to coauthor scientific papers.
  • The individual will support multiple research projects, and must be proactive, resourceful, selfdirected, highly organized, and able to work independently and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field.
  • Oneyear related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience analyzing longitudinal data in the context of a research study.
  • Experience with advanced methods (e.g., multiple imputation, propensity scores, geospatial analyses, etc.), manuscript and presentation preparation is desirable.
  • Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Stata, SAS, or R (proficiency with multiple statistical programs preferred).
  • Experience in database software helpful. Knowledge of additional specialized software (e.g. SQL, Python, ArcGIS, M-Plus) welcomed.

$55,200 - $96,600 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
