Department: Sterile Processing

Shift: Days

Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilizing, storing, and distributing reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment.
Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory.
Performs environmental maintenance duties.
Verifies proper equipment functioning and takes necessary maintenance actions.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of approved sterile processing course and certification as a sterile processing technician.

Preferred:

Prior experience in sterile processing preferred.

Position/Subsidiary Specific:

Completion of approved sterile processing course or prior comparable experience.
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required.
Newly hired or transferred employees must obtain certification within twelve months.
