Description

This Quality Engineering position is responsible for monitoring and auditing the quality of all manufactured goods. The position works to not only to find defects, but also to find root cause and develop a solution.

This position will also verify and update QC work instructions and test procedures to assure that all are documented and up-to-date.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop/revise test procedures, calibration procedures and SOP's.
Evaluate and document corrective actions, preventive actions, deviations and material dispositions.
Prepare and process documentation to include specification changes, change request forms, validation documents, deviations and standard operating procedures.
Assist with maintaining ISO 9100:2015 quality management system and UL/CSA/IPC standards.
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality personal to implement technical work instructions.
Executes validation projects (Process, Product & Test Method), develops protocols and determines test plans.
Analyzes data and draws conclusions.

Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices to include industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO requirements, health and safety.

Perform other related duties as directed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to learn and understand acoustical test methods.
Basic understanding of GD&T.
Good documentation and writing skills for reporting technical results.
Team player capable of successfully interacting at all levels with customers, peers, seniors & subordinates.
Capable of influencing key stakeholders, collecting critical inputs and facilitate collective solutions.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Possess the ability to teach others effectively.
Ability to use management tools in normal job function to handle multiple tasks with proper prioritization.
Capability to work independently, handle changing priorities and short time constraints.
Show strong work ethic necessary for leading by example, miss work rarely and will be always well-presented.
Ability to interpret regulations into workable processes and to defend those interpretation during formal audits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Science degree in engineering or technical discipline.

Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for a candidate who can demonstrate capable of successfully fulfilling all duties and responsibilities of the position.

3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
ISO 9001 or equivalent standards experienced
Ability to work hours, as required, that are appropriate to completing projects and tasks on schedule.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of Mini-Tab or equivalent statistical analysis programs

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
Training and project leadership.
Responsible for workflow, training for new employees, and answering job-related questions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office:
Typical office environment.

Manufacturing:
Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposure to some routine manufacturing related substances.
Recurring physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, crouching and use of tools or computer.
General Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (or as appropriate to accomplish objectives)
