Construction Accountant
With an ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our team.
With a working knowledge of the Construction industry and the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment, your essential job duties and responsibilities will consist of:Budgets and Cost Control
- Work closely with staff to input budgets and costs codes
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and cost control
- Assist forecasting activities with site management
- Estimate cash flow
- Ensure that the proprietary nature of payroll information is protected and remains confidential
- Support the hiring of new employees
- Process weekly payroll for employees and administer all changes, i.e. pay rates, accruals, deductions, including certified payroll reporting and compliance
- Issue manual checks as required
- Fringe benefit reporting, and payments submissions
- Benefits management, enrollment, changes, notices and terminations
- Workers compensation reporting and processing
- Multi state payroll experience a plus
- Use of a payroll input software such as ADP
- Experience with a construction accounting software such a PCMX
- Assist with the preparation and reporting requirements as required
- Manage depreciation schedules to ensure accuracy
- Reconcile monthly bank statements
- Reconcile monthly equipment loans
- Post Customer payments and deposits
- Weekly accounts payable check runs
- Weekly accounts receivable billing progress billing and time & material
- New account set up
- Accurately enter invoices.
- Verify invoices and subcontracts against purchase orders
- Collect vendor W9's throughout the year
- Reconcile all accounts
- Credit card reconciliation
- Keep subcontractor insurance certificates up to date
- Analyze and compare yearly company insurance renewals
- Understand lien waivers
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Writing skills to prepare and edit a variety of critical correspondence, reports, presentations and informational documents
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to anticipate and identify issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Must be able to maintain confidential information
- Ability to collaborate with site management
- Must be able to work independently as well as work with the team
- Business and state licenses in all cities where work is being performed
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in construction accounting
- A minimum of 2 years experience in processing payroll

Pay:
$65, $80,080.00 per year
